Channel 9 has released a new extended trailer for the brand new comedy series featuring Andy Lee and one hundred of his closest personal strangers, The Hundred.
How many Australians have had plastic surgery? How many of us have never seen the ocean? And why do the people in the southern states prefer a café latte while the rest of the nation goes for a flat white (except in regional Australia, where they’ll take “a cappuccino extra hot, thanks mate”)?
The Hundred is a weekly, one-hour, prime-time comedy panel show featuring 100 everyday Australians from all around the country, joining Andy and his guest panellists via a giant 27-square metre screen.
Handpicked to represent the makeup of Australia, “The Hundred” are standing by to be polled live and give us the stories behind the stats.
Each week, our favourite comedians and celebrities will battle it out to prove who really knows Australia best, challenging “The Hundred” and unpacking the facts along the way. Whatever story has gripped the nation each week, we’ll be able to find out what Australia really thinks about it.
Taking the pulse of the nation and drawing on real stats, what do the numbers really say about us? Australia’s about to find out.
How many Australians have had sex in the workplace? What’s the most common day to be born? What is the most common day to die? How many of us check our partner’s phones … and how many of us don’t even own a phone?
The more we find out about “The Hundred”, the more we discover about ourselves.
