Awkward finales because they changed hurriedly due to COVID-19 lockdown are the new black.

Home and Away (650,000) kicks off the night with growing numbers as it leads into the season finale Big Brother Australia (672,000 show; 726,000 winner (699,000 average)). Absolutely the best numbers it has seen all season, however well down down on last year’s finale. Importantly it won the slot and helped Seven to win the night. A repeat of MOVIE: Wonder Woman (338,000) carried the most later night attention, another contributor to Seven’s win.
Seven first in both primary (20.7%) and network (29.9%) rankings.

A Current Affair (813,000) drops ever so slightly from Monday but still the biggest in the slot. Nine’s Australian Ninja Warrior (572,000) slides further into the week, dropping to its lowest numbers this season. Ouch. The Weakest Link (288,000) surely now terminal as numbers sink to the second lowest this season, and a double repeat of Kath & Kim (151,000; 124,000) is barely a placeholder. All in all it adds up to a disappointing night.
Nine second in both primary (19%) and network (27.4%) rankings.

7:30 (603,000) and Anh’s Brush With Fame (501,000) make for a solid double in the timeslot; the former slipping slightly on the previous night’s rage, and the latter ticks up slightly on last week. ABC’s Finding the Archibald (415,000)
finishes it’s run, followed by Diana (261,000) and China Tonight (78,000).
ABC third in primary (12.1%) and fourth in network (16.9%) rankings.

The Project (355,000; 519,000) ticks up with slightly higher numbers, still leaving 10’s MasterChef Australia (610,000) to try and hold its own against its commercial rivals (which it mostly does – second in the slot). A double repeat episode of NCIS (252,000; 180,000) only services fans.
10 fourth in primary (11.1%) and third in network (17.3%) rankings.

SBS land with a new ep of Who Do You Think You Are? Australia (308,000) followed by a repeat of Untold Australia: Stutter School (135,000)
and then into Tour de France live (stage 4) (137,000).
SBS fifth in both primary (6.1%) and network (8.5%) rankings.
