The gripping two-part ESPN documentary Lance will get its free-to-air premiere this Sunday on SBS

From Emmy award-winning filmmaker Marina Zenovich, the documentary features candid interviews with Lance Armstrong, his family and former teammates about his battle with testicular cancer, Tour de France victories, which he was later stripped of, and dramatic downfall after being exposed in a widespread doping scandal.

The film is set against the backdrop of competitive cycling and tracks the widespread corruption of the sport, caused by the pervasive use of performance enhancing drugs.

Episode One: Sunday, June 20 at 9.05pm – A fascinating chronicle of one of the most inspirational – and then infamous – athletes of all time.

Episode Two: Monday, June 21 at 9.30pm – A look at Lance’s massive fall after he was exposed in one of the largest doping scandals in history.

Lance premieres Sunday, 20 June at 9.05pm on SBS and SBS On Demand
