At each location Dan and Steph will meet growers and producers, while discovering local highlights and tourist attractions, with the visit culminating in the pair cooking a dish incorporating the best flavours of the region.

While the locations are local, the dishes that Dan and Steph prepare are international. On the Fraser Coast they cook Balinese, in Rockhampton food from Texas. Mexican food is prepared in Bowen, Moroccan in Bundaberg and Canadian in Kingaroy. Recipes can be followed via a QR code on the screen, allowing easy access to ingredient lists and recipe details.

Dan and Steph Mulheron said:

“We’re all missing international travel and food is one of those amazing things where the flavours can transport you to a faraway place. We are matching locations and cuisines that give you the taste of overseas travel but in your own backyard.

“We meet the Aussie families behind some of the best locally grown produce and we’ve learnt so much and been blown away by the resilience of the producers in Queensland.”

Travel and Eat with Dan & Steph is an engaging look at stunning Queensland locations and the abundant food grown in those areas, coupled with delicious recipes. The show is produced locally in Queensland by Channel 7 Productions.

Travel and Eat with Dan & Steph premieres 5.00pm this Saturday on Channel 7 in Queensland, with the series available nationally on 7plus.
