Series leader Chaz Mostert will be out to continue his recent hot form when TCR Australia’s best drivers do battle in three races at the iconic circuit in Eastern Creek, but he will have to overcome a field of 22 turbo-charged touring cars including title contenders Aaron Cameron, Luke King, John Martin, Jordan Cox and Lee Holdsworth.
Seven’s coverage from Sydney Motorsport Park begins on Saturday at 9.00am AEST on 7plus and 10.00am AEST on 7mate, and continues on Sunday at 10.00am AEST on 7mate and 7plus.
On both days, 7plus will bring fans additional coverage from 2.00pm AEST, with all nine categories of racing featuring on the live stream.
Motorsport’s #1 commentary team will again lead Seven’s coverage, featuring host Mark
Beretta alongside Greg Rust, Chris Stubbs, Jessica Dane, Jack Perkins (son of motorsport legend Larry Perkins), David Reynolds and Molly Taylor, who returns to Pit Lane after her opening round victory in the new Extreme E Series in Saudi Arabia with Nico Rosberg’s team.
The weekend’s other highlights include the final round of the S5000 when the Australian
Drivers Champion will be crowned and receive – for the first time since 2014 – the highly
coveted Gold Star award, whose past winners include legends such as Lex Davison, Stan
Jones, John Bowe, Mark Skaife and Rick Kelly, and current IndyCar driver Will Power.
A record field of 30 cars will contest the National Trans Am Series, where Aaron Seton and
