Channel 7 appears to have commissioned a third season of SAS Australia.
Season 3 of the reality survival format looks set to feature a cast of ‘Everyday Australians” rather than celebrities.
A recently published casting note is requesting contestants willing to “push yourself beyond your boundaries?” and describes the program as the “ultimate test of character and fitness.”
The program’s host Ant Middleton and his DS staff recently entered hotel quarantine in Australia ahead of filming on season two of SAS Australia. Seven’s decision to commission a third season appears to be a move by the network to capitalise on the presenter’s availability in this country.
Filming on season 2 of SAS Australia is set to commence in April, cast for the second season is yet to be revealed, but names rumoured to be involved with the format include former cricketer Michael Clarke and NRL star Sam Burgess.
Its expected season 3 will be filmed immediately after season 2.
