WIFE SWAP AUSTRALIA finally arrives on our TV screens tonight

Two wives from completely different backgrounds with opposing morals, social behaviours and parenting styles, swap lives for one week.

First announced by the Seven Network at their 2019 Upfronts event, Wife Swap Australia finally makes it to our screens tonight.

In the series premiere, a fashion conscious, fitness obsessed mum of six straight-A students, and a bus-dwelling, free-range mum of eight unschooled kids, swap lives and turn their families upside down.

Wife Swap Australia sees two wives write a household manual describing their rules and how to run their home. They must first live by each other’s rules – no matter how difficult, uncomfortable, or how strongly opposed to them they are.

Then, after living by each other’s rules, the wives can take back control, and lay down their
own set of rules, which their new husband and children must now obey. The result is high emotion and highly-reactive and explosive drama as everyone’s lives are turned completely upside down.

At the end of the swap, the wives re-unite with their husbands, and the couples are then able to come face to face for the first time to discuss their experiences. This always culminates in an extremely tense and highly-argumentative discussion, whereby the wives strongly oppose each other’s method of parenting, and ultimately go head-to-head over who’s parenting style is best.

The end result is an eye-opening, emotionally charged episode where ultimately, life lessons from both wives, families and children, are shared and learned.

Wife Swap Australia premieres 8.30pm Thursday, 11 February on Seven
