Melbourne’s favourite weather presenter Livinia Nixon has been named as the new co-host for this years Carols By Candlelight .
Livinia Nixon will join Today Extra host, David Campbell in presenting this year’s event broadcast LIVE from Melbourne
The appointment of Nixon is likely to be very popular, particularly with Victorian viewers, where there has been a long campaign to get Melbourne presenters back hosting the traditional event.

In 2020, Nine celebrates its 41 years of telecasting this cherished live event, which is in its 61st year of presentation from the Sidney Myer Music Bowl.
Carol’s By Candlelight will look very different in 2020. Due to COVID rules, organisers have opted to conduct this years event without a crowd.
Nine’s Director of Television, Michael Healy recently commenting;
“For all those who usually attend the event in person, we encourage you to tune in to Channel Nine and enjoy what we know is going to be another wonderful Christmas Eve Carols performed by a roll call of Australia’s best artists.”
