Is Paleo-Pete heading for an Aussie Bush Tucker Trial?
The Australian Media Diary is reporting it believes the controversial alternative lifestyle crusader and former reality cooking show judge Pete Evans is set to be the big-name drawcard on the new season of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
If correct, the controversial Evans will undoubtedly generate plenty of media attention 10’s summer reality format which will now be filmed in NSW due to COVID travel restrictions.
But the network is also risking an advertiser backlash with online campaigners such as Sleeping Giants ready to target any network who provides employment to Evans due to his recent commentary on issues such as COVID-19.
As exclusively revealed by TV Blackbox in back in May, Evans agreed to depart Seven after he was informed the network would not be proceeding with further seasons of MKR.
2021 is providing plenty of reality show opportunities for celebrities, particularly those with a divisive history. Seven also has the chequebook out and is willing to spend big to secure drawcards for season two of SAS Australia.
Hope not. Absolutely sick of entertainment makers putting up idiots like this, keeping them in currency and giving them a platform for wacko ideas far in excess of what they deserve. We all know the average person on the street can be impressionable and the further we can keep such bizarre views away from them, the better, for the good of society.
