One of the original hosts of The Daily Edition, Tom Williams is returning to the show to help guide it through its final three episodes.
Tom Williams is jumping back into the hosting chair after Seven terminated the employment of Ryan Phelan on Monday night after he failed to inform the network he had been involved in a domestic violence incident.
Williams formerly hosted the show from 2013 to 2018 before departing for a change of career in real estate. His return for the final three episodes alongside longtime host Sally Obermeder will no doubt take the pressure off the production team whom will be looking to celebrate the show’s achievements.

Seven confirmed the axing of The Daily Edition last week, with its final episode to air this Friday.
From Monday, Seven will commence screening double episodes of The Chase between 2pm and 4pm.
