He might have missed out on a gig on the new series of BIG BROTHER, but that hasn’t stopped everyone’s favourite narrator from kicking some serious career goals.

When it became obvious Channel 7 had decided to pass over the iconic voice of Mike Goldman as the narrator of its new series of Big Brother, fans of the series were shocked and outraged.

But despite his disappointment, Goldman still has plenty of reasons to smile with news he has signed a contract with Netflix to appear in a new series called Clickbait. The series was meant to begin shooting in Melbourne a couple of weeks ago but has been delayed due to travel restrictions due to COVID-19.

Clickbait stars Adrian Grenier from Entourage and the eight-part series explores the ways in which dangerous and uncontrolled impulses are fuelled by social media and the fractures between virtual and real-life personas.

The series has been co-funded by the Federal Government’s Location Incentive program and Film Victoria’s Production Incentive Attraction Fund.

Goldman made the announcement while appearing on our very own Eye on Big Brother podcast. The podcast stars former winners Reggie Sorensen and Benjamin Norris along with David Robinson and myself.

In the episode Goldman talks about the stalker he found in his dressing room, the time he threw up outside Sonia Kruger‘s dressing room (where she then had to walk through his vomit to get on stage) and his feelings about Channel 7 making a new series without him.

It’s a funny, insightful and full of stories even the most diehard Big Brother fan most likely doesn’t know.
