Married at First Sight has once again proved unstoppable as Week 10 comes to a close. Sunday night’s commitment ceremony attracted a national average audience of 1.451m in the 5 Cap Cities (1.968m viewers nationally).
In fact MAFS took the top 4 positions of the week with the Nine network taking 7 out of the top 10 positions. Channel 7’s news offerings filled out the remaining 3 places.
Nine took line honours on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday with the Seven Network claiming the rest of the week once MAFS was off air.
2019 RATINGS CHART – WEEKS 1 TO 10
10’s woes continue, losing out again to the ABC in both primary channel and network share. That makes it 7 out of 10 weeks in network share and 8 out of 10 weeks for their primary channel.
As exclusively reported by TV Blackbox this week, the network has held a 2 day summit to address the ongoing crisis in the hopes of building loyalty and getting the creative juices flowing.
And one of their first acquisitions has been to purchase the local rights to America’s hottest new reality format The Masked Singer. In another exclusive for TV Blackbox, we revealed the network has secured the show which is expected to air late in 2019. The Masked Singer has been the most successful new show to launch in the US in 2019 and executives at 10 will be hoping replicate its success locally. The biggest problem for 10 will be finding enough celebrities who aren’t already appearing on their other celebrity shows.
Here’s how the week broke down;
