TEN signs new 3-year deal to continue broadcasting MotoGP live in Australia

The TEN Network has confirmed a three-year contract extension that ensures fans will continue to get free-to-air coverage of the motorcycle racing Championship, MotoGP.

The new deal ensures every MotoGP round will be broadcast live and free-to-air on 10 Boss – with live streaming also available at www.tenplay.com.au – and over the Australian GP weekend there will also be special coverage, with the qualifying session and race for every category shown live.

Daryl Beattie – a multiple Grand Prix winner and premier class Championship runner-up – will chair proceedings for the network, presenting from 10 studios and adding pre-race and post-race expert analysis.

Network 10’s Head of Sport, Matt White, said: “Australian motorsport fans deserve to see this incredible racing category live and free and we are delighted to extend our broadcast deal with Dorna Sports for another three years. This deal further demonstrates Network 10’s commitment to premium sport.”

Network 10’s Chief Executive Officer, Paul Anderson, said: “The MotoGP World Championship is part of our DNA and has proudly been on our Network for the past 21 years. MotoGP provides some of the most dramatic motor racing vision in the world and is a key plank in our motorsport strategy. We have an incredible partnership with Dorna Sports and are very excited to be partnering once again and remaining the free to air home of motorsport in Australia.”

Manel Arroyo, Managing Director of Dorna Sports, added: “It’s great news that MotoGP will remain on Network 10 in Australia, continuing our long and successful partnership that is now in its third decade. Network 10 provide excellent coverage of the World Championship and are valuable collaborators with whom we are delighted to continue working, so three more years is great news for Aussie fans and great news for MotoGP.”
