On Sunday night, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and the Leader of the Opposition Bill Shorten go head to head in the Leaders’ Debate.
LIVE from the National Press Club in Canberra the leaders will hopefully champion their plans for the future of the nation.
The broadcast will be shown LIVE nationally on ABC News 24 and Sky News Live from 7:30pm (AEST).
On the ABC main channel the broadcast will be shown LIVE in eastern states at 7:30pm, delayed in SA & NT (airing after the 7pm ABC News bulletin). In WA the broadcast is LIVE at 5.30pm on ABC.
The debate will be moderated by Chris Uhlmann, ABC Political Editor & President of the National Press Club of Australia.
Leaders will be questioned by a panel of three senior federal parliamentary journalists: Laura Tingle (Australian Financial Review), Andrew Probyn (The West Australian) and Ellen Whinnett (Herald Sun).
LIVE pre-event coverage of the National Press Club Leaders’ Debate begins at 4:00pm on SKY NEWS LIVE with PM Agenda anchored by SKY NEWS Political Editor David Speers. David will then be joined at 6:00pm by Chief Political Reporter Kieran Gilbert and SKY NEWS anchors Patricia Karvelas and Chris Kenny.
From 9:00pm SKY NEWS anchors Andrew Bolt, Kristina Keneally, Laura Jayes and SKY NEWS Political Contributor Peta Credlin will join Paul Murray for a special edition of Paul Murray LIVE.
