Foxtel has confirmed the sixth season of Game Of Thrones will premiere Monday April 25th at 11am, meaning Australian viewers will again have the opportunity to watch the premiere at the exact same time as US viewers.

The 10 episode season will see the return of character Bran Stark played by Isaac Hempstead Wright, and Australian actress Essie Davis joins the cast.

Meanwhile US cable networks HBO and AMC have confirmed the premiere dates for two of their most popular series. The fifth season of Girls will premiere on Feb 21st and the second season of Fear The Walking Dead will launch April 10th. Both series are expected to be fast-tracked into Australia within hours of US broadcast.
