NFL action returns to Australian TV with the Kickoff game as the defending Super Bowl champions the New England Patriots host the Pittsburgh Steelers LIVE Friday September 11 on 7mate.
New England is still awaiting the fate of suspended quarterback Tom Brady after the ‘Deflategate’ controversy. The Patriots are attempting to overturn the decision in the US Federal Court, in an effort to get him to line up in the Kickoff game.

Every week Seven will broadcast three consecutive games on Sunday, ending with the blockbuster NFL Sunday Night Football, all coming in live to Australia on 7mate on Monday. Seven will also broadcast live the NFL Playoffs and Super Bowl. Marquee NFL games such as this traditional Kick-off game and Thanksgiving NFL matches will be a feature for fans.
Media sources have suggested the Seven Network is in talks with the NFL regarding the prospect of broadcasting all San Francisco 49ers’ matches into Australia provided Jarryd Hayne makes the cut.

Adding further depth to Seven’s commitment, 7mate will also telecast other NFL programmes, including: Hard Knocks, Sound FX, A Football Life, Road to the Super Bowl, Road to the Playoffs and America’s Game: The Super Bowl Champions.
The 10th season of the groundbreaking documentary series Hard Knocks will focus on the Houston Texans, including up close with J.J Watts, the quarterback battle between Ryan Mallett and Brian Hoyer and Jadeveon Clowney’s comeback from two knee surgeries.
