Channel Seven has confirmed a new season of the hit Australian drama Winners & Losers will begin production early in 2015.
Following the lives of best friends as they deal with life’s inevitable ups and downs, Winners & Losers has become a family favourite in households across Australia.
In 2014 Winners & Losers averaged a combined audience of 1.560 million viewers, including metro and regional areas. It also ranked the fourth most watched Australian Drama for the year on a commercial network.
In Season 5 friendship and love will triumph as the girls support each other through happiness and heartache, delivering the show’s most emotional season yet.
“At its heart, Winners & Losers is about the unbreakable bond of friendship and that’s why it resonates with so many Australians,” said Seven’s Head of Drama, Julie McGauran. “It’s an evolving story about young women trying to make their way in life, connected by shared experiences and supporting each other along the way. We’re delighted the journey continues.”
Production of the new season is due to commence early in 2015.
