NRL Telstra Premiership season, as arguably the most evenly-contested competition on record builds to a dramatic conclusion.

With six rounds remaining in the home-and-away season, 13 teams remain in the hunt for the top eight with just three wins separating second and thirteenth positions on the competition ladder heading in to Round 21.

Throughout the final six rounds, Fox Sports will analyse and dissect the finals chances of every team in contention, as well as continuing to deliver five LIVE matches each round and the best rugby league entertainment.

The game’s leading experts including past premiership winners Peter Sterling, Matty Johns and Gorden Tallis will take fans closer to their team’s run to the finals with unrivalled insight and brand new segments to track the progress of each team through the final rounds.

Each Wednesday night throughout The Business End, NRL 360’s Ben Ikin and Paul Kent will put the microscope over four teams – two that have risen and two that have fallen in finals calculations, in new segment Rises & Falls.

On Thursday night the Sterlo team will assess four pivotal players each week and reveal why they are key to their team’s finals hopes in Business End Key Players.

During The Business End Fox Sports will also celebrate the achievements of great teams from the past that staged a miraculous run during the final rounds and made their mark on the post-season, including the 1986 Parramatta Eels, 2005 Wests Tigers and the 2011 New Zealand Warriors.

Champion Eels half and host of Sterlo, Peter Sterling, said: “In 2014 we’ve got one of the most exciting finishes to an NRL season that we’ve ever witnessed and every match is crucial for every team in contention over the remaining six rounds.

“Manly has been the standout team but you genuinely get the feeling that if any of the dozen or so teams in contention can go on a run over the last month-and-a-half of the season they could go deep into the finals or even all the way to a Premiership.

“Each week we’ll be studying the competition and assessing what each team needs to do to make the top eight, as well as the players who can make a difference at the business end of the season,” said Sterling.
