Foxtel continues to shake up its music video offerings with the
announcement that Smooth TV will launch as a new channel in December

The channel is owned by DMG radio and will play easy listening
music

In the last radio survey, Smooth FM overtook Triple M and WSFM
in its share of the Sydney market, and has built a loyal, female skewed
audience.

DMG plans to produce long-form programming and advertiser-funded
content for the new channel.

The news comes at the same time as MTV announces major changes
to its Foxtel lineup. MTV Hits and MTV Classics are being rebranded as MTV
Music and MTV Dance. MTV Live is being discontinued to make way for Smooth TV.

Smooth TV, MTV Music and MTV Dance will launch December 3 on Foxtel.
