The Block has delivered a welcome auction-day turnaround, with all five teams making a profit at Mount Eliza and Courtney and Sev walking away with the biggest prize in the show’s history.
After last year’s disappointing auction results, there were plenty of questions heading into this year’s finale, particularly amid a challenging property market, cost-of-living pressures and changes to Victoria’s reserve price laws.
But Sunday night’s auctions delivered a considerably happier outcome, with all five homes selling under the hammer and contestants sharing more than $3.5 million in combined profits.
The biggest result belonged to Queensland best friends Courtney and Sev, whose House 4 sold for an impressive $4.72 million, $1.27 million above its $3.45 million reserve.
The pair also secured the $100,000 winners’ prize and the inaugural $500,000 Scotty’s Prize Pool, taking their total winnings and prizes to a record $1.87 million.

It was a fitting result for a team that had been among the strongest performers throughout the competition. Courtney and Sev finished the season with 317.25 room reveal points, the highest of any team, and won six of the 12 room reveals.
Their guest suite, rumpus room and laundry each scored 29.5 out of 30, while their revamped kids’ bedroom and living room earned a perfect 30. Their bathroom also secured the kitchen-upgrade prize, while their kitchen became the most expensive in the show’s history.
Their decision to choose House 4 over the properties with bay views raised eyebrows early in the competition, but the final result suggests the gamble paid off.
While Courtney and Sev attracted their share of criticism during the season, online reaction to the auction was mixed, with viewers acknowledging the quality of their finished home and the scale of their result, alongside continued questions about perceived advantages and favouritism.
The broader discussion also reflected the contrast between multimillion-dollar property sales and the financial pressures facing many Australian households.
There was plenty to celebrate across the remaining four properties, too.
Rick and Tayla finished with the second-biggest profit, making $905,000 after their House 5 property sold for $4.355 million.
Lisa and Rosco secured $550,000 after a marathon auction that lasted more than 40 minutes and attracted over 100 bids, while Adam and Jolene made $455,000 when their House 1 property sold for $3.905 million.
Chantel and Wyatt also walked away with a $367,000 profit after their House 2 home sold for $3.817 million, bringing a challenging sales campaign to a positive conclusion.
The result was particularly encouraging following the 2025 season, when Britt and Taz made just $520,000 from their Daylesford property, a significant contrast to the five successful sales at Mount Eliza.
Host Scott Cam said he was pleased to see every team walk away with a financial reward.
“It’s a great result and we are really happy. We want all contestants to make as much money as they can, so a day like today is a great success. Big congratulations to Courtney and Sev.”
Executive producer Julian Cress also welcomed the outcome, pointing to the market conditions surrounding this year’s auctions.
“We are thrilled to beat the market and deliver a hundred per cent clearance rate for our very deserving contestants.”
For Courtney and Sev, however, the scale of their winnings was still sinking in.
“It doesn’t feel real, it’s just the craziest thing. We don’t even know what to say. We’re so grateful, and we could have never imagined that we’d be walking away with this kind of money and the prize pool.”
Courtney said.
Sev said the pair had never expected to leave the competition with life-changing money, explaining that they had simply wanted to enjoy the experience.
With all five properties sold and every team making a profit, the 2026 season has delivered one of the strongest auction results in the show’s history, taking The Block‘s total contestant winnings since 2003 to more than $44.5 million.
