With Australia’s 2027 Upfronts announcements now wrapped, a new dating series is quietly moving ahead, with Curio Pictures opening casting for the yet-to-be-revealed project.
The production company, part of Sony Pictures Television, is searching for singles aged 18 and over to take part in the yet-to-be-revealed series, with producers seeking people who have learned from past relationships, know what they want and are ready to find something real.
Listed as ‘The Dating Show’, the series will bring singles together in a stunning location for a dating experience centred on chemistry and connection, with filming scheduled for early 2027 and set to run for up to four weeks.
The casting call reads:
“Fancy a cocktail in the sunshine with the chance of meeting the love of your life?”
“Bring yourself, an open mind and the courage to make the first move. Your next chapter could start here….”
Applicants must be aged 18 or over, be Australian citizens or have the legal right to reside in Australia, and hold a valid passport expiring no earlier than 30 November 2027, or be willing and able to obtain one.
It’s not yet known which broadcaster has commissioned the series, with applications closing on 18 December 2026.
