Family ties will be put under the spotlight when Shaun Micallef and his son Gabe host Shaun Micallef’s Parents’ Evening, a new family-based competition featuring well-known Australians and their relatives.

Each week, three famous Australians will be paired with either a parent or an adult child, putting years of shared memories and family knowledge to the test.

After being presented with a topic, the parent must predict how many questions their child will answer correctly. If the prediction is right, the team wins money for its chosen charity. If the prediction is wrong, the money instead goes to another team’s charity.

The premiere episode will feature Australian media identity Ray Martin and his daughter Jenna, competing against reality star Callum Hole and his father Phil, along with comedian Joel Creasey and his mother Jenny.

The format will also explore the differing ways relatives remember their shared experiences, with family knowledge and competing recollections forming part of the contest.

A number of other familiar faces are set to take part across the series, including Jessica Rowe, Amanda Keller, Abbie Chatfield, Felix Cameron and Brett Blake.

Hosted by Shaun Micallef and Gabe, the program combines family competition with fundraising for charities selected by the participating teams.

Shaun Micallef’s Parents’ Evening premieres Monday, September 28 at 7.30pm on 10 and 10 Streaming.
