A raft of new talent lines up alongside some very experienced old hands to deliver a brand-new Australian drama series.
The cast list is exciting, and while it is only six eps (remember when we used to get drama series that got 13, sometimes even 20+ episode season calls?!) this Stan Original series looks to offer up a quality drama with a modern Australian view. With a lead actor from Britain (perhaps she’s a backpacker?). 🙄

A new six-part series about medical interns whose careers are on life support, the Stan Original The F Ward will premiere July 17, all episodes at once, and only on Stan.
The F Ward follows a group of medical interns sent to the underfunded Pines Hospital in Sydney for one final chance to complete their medical training. Here, they must overcome their insecurities, their past, and their own expectations in a hot-house environment where the stakes are life and death.
The Stan Original The F Ward will star International Emmy® Award winner Anna Friel (Pushing Daisies, Marcella), Ioane Sa’ula (Stan Original Bump), Lola Bond (Last Days of the Space Age), Dan Wyllie (Love My Way), Alex Fitzalan (Stan Original Prosper), Emily Barclay (Babyteeth), Annie Boyle (Colin from Accounts) and Rishab Kern.
Rounding out the cast are Arka Das (Stan Original Sunny Nights), Paula Arundell (The Last Anniversary), Jeremy Sims (The Artful Dodger), Susie Porter (The Artful Dodger), Toby Schmitz (Boy Swallows Universe), and Alex Dimitriades (Strife).
The series is co-created by Dan Edwards (Stan Original Bump) and Kelsey Munro (Stan Original Bump) with executive producer John Edwards, and producers Dan Edwards and Kelsey Munro for Roadshow Rough Diamond. Stan Executive Producers are Andy Ryan and Michael Healy.
The Stan Original The F Ward is written by Kelsey Munro, Jessica Tuckwell, Shanti Gudgeon, Nick Coyle, and Jack Yabsley and directed by Natalie Bailey (Down Cemetery Road) and Neil Sharma (Stan Original Critical Incident).
