Warner Bros. Pictures’ The Bride! written, directed and produced by Maggie Gyllenhaal, will make its global streaming debut on Friday 22 May, only on HBO Max.
The Bride! stars Academy Award®, BAFTA and Golden Globe® winners Jessie Buckley and Christian Bale, along with Academy Award® nominees Annette Bening and Jake Gyllenhaal and Academy Award® winner, Penélope Cruz.
A lonely “Frank” travels to 1930s Chicago to ask groundbreaking scientist Dr. Euphronious to create a companion for him. The two revive a murdered young woman and The Bride is born.
What ensues is beyond what either of them imagined: Murder! Possession! A radical cultural movement! And outlaw lovers in a wild and combustible romance!
