The stage is set for the live shows, with Australian Idol last night locking in its Top 12 after three high stakes nights as part of Transformation Week.
Across three big nights, 21 hopefuls delivered show stopping performances and unveiled superstar makeovers in a bid to convince judges Marcia Hines, Kyle Sandilands and Amy Shark they deserved a place in the final group.
Adding to the pressure, each judge held a powerful Fast Pass that could send one standout act straight through to the Top 12.
Monday’s episode saw Marcia Hines award her Fast Pass to Perth singer Charlie Moon following his performance of The Beatles classic With a Little Help from My Friends.
“This is crazy for me. Unbelievable. I’m in my 30s, this is the last roll of the dice; it means the world to me.”

Tuesday night delivered another big moment when Kyle Sandilands sent Brisbane teenager Harlan Goode straight through after his striking ballad version of Diana Ross’ Chain Reaction.
The final places were locked in last night, with Amy Shark awarding her Fast Pass to Central Coast landscaper Kalani Artis after his performance of Wherever You Will Go by The Calling.

Other standout performances across the week included Kesha Oayda’s powerful take on Take Me to Church, Sophie Poidevin’s spin on Bette Davis Eyes and John Standley’s energetic version of I Got You (I Feel Good) which earned a standing ovation.
The Australian Idol 2026 Top 12 are Charlie Moon, Harlan Goode, Harry Lamb, Jacinta Guirguis, John Standley, Kalani Artis, Kesha Oayda, Lily Grace Grant, Simela Petridis, Sophie Poidevin, Trè Samuels and Wanwue Tarpeh.
From here the competition shifts into live television, with the Top 12 performing in front of the judges, a studio audience and viewers at home who can vote for their favourites.
