BOY SWALLOWS UNIVERSE soars to #3 in NETFLIX Global TV Top 10

Boy Swallows Universe continued to soar in its second week, climbing to #3 in the Global TV Top 10, and officially hitting #1 in Australia.  

The new Netflix Aussie TV drama has also hit #4 in the UK and #6 in the US, continuing to remain Netflix’s most popular Australian-made TV series on record. 

Based on the book of the same name, the series centres around a young boy growing up in the suburbs of 1980s Brisbane faces the harsh realities of life — and the looming dangers that threaten his family.

The all-star cast and crew talk about what it was like bringing to life one of Australia’s most beloved stories from author Trent Dalton in a new YouTube featurette and blog.

Boy Swallows Universe is the latest Australian story to feature in the Netflix Top 10 with Love Is In The Air recently landing at #2 in the global Top 10 and Surviving Summer Season 2 landing at #7. 

Other Australian productions recently featured in the Top 10 include hits Fisk, Run Rabbit Run, Wellmania, True Spirit, The Stranger and Heartbreak High. 

Key cast includes Travis Fimmel, Simon Baker, Bryan Brown, Sophie Wilde with Phoebe Tonkin and Anthony LaPaglia with additional cast including Felix Cameron, Lee Tiger Halley and Zac Burgess.

Also starring Deborah Mailman, Christopher James Baker, Ben O’Toole, HaiHa Le, Zachary Wan, Adam Briggs, Rob Carlton, Toby Schitz, Eloise Rotherfield, and Millie Donaldson.

Directed by Bharat Nalluri, Jocelyn Moorhouse and Kim Mordaunt, writer John Collee and series producers Troy Lum and Andrew Mason.
