Based on Laurence Leamer’s bestselling book, “Capote’s Women: A True Story of Love, Betrayal, and a Swan Song for an Era,” the series boasts a star-studded cast. Tom Hollander plays the central role of Truman Capote, accompanied by notable names such as Naomi Watts, Diane Lane, ChloĂ« Sevigny, Calista Flockhart, Demi Moore, Molly Ringwald, Treat Williams, Joe Mantello, and Russell Tovey.

The narrative centers around acclaimed writer Truman Capote and his unique relationship with a group of New York’s high society women, whom he affectionately called “the swans.”

These women, including Barbara “Babe” Paley (played by Watts), Slim Keith (Lane), C.Z. Guest (Sevigny), and Lee Radziwill (Flockhart), were the epitome of glamour and sophistication in a bygone era. Capote, who ingratiated himself into their lives, eventually betrayed their trust by exposing their private lives in his planned magnum opus, ‘Answered Prayers,’ which led to his fall from grace.

This eight-episode season, written for television by Jon Robin Baitz, is directed by a trio of esteemed directors: Gus Van Sant, Max Winkler, and Jennifer Lynch. The show’s executive production team includes Ryan Murphy, Alexis Martin Woodall, Baitz, Van Sant, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, Naomi Watts, Eric Kovtun, and Scott Robertson. It is a production of 20th Television.

“Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans” will premiere on Thursday, 1 February on BINGE and on Foxtel’s Showcase channel at 9:30pm and will also be available via Foxtel On Demand.
