In a move to expand its programming, Sky News appears poised to introduce a Q+A style competitor forum show, slated for a 2024 debut.

The upcoming project, set to be filmed in Sydney, is currently in the participant recruitment phase.

An advertisement airing on the channel calls out to the public, stating, “Have your say on the big issues of the day. Sky News is seeking applicants to join a brand new TV show.”

Prospective participants are encouraged to apply by providing their details and expressing their motivation to be part of the dynamic conversation.

Sky News has already carved a niche in the broadcasting landscape with its successful ventures like the ‘road trips’ featured on Paul Murray Live and the impactful ‘People’s Forum’ Debate specials. These segments have resonated with the audience, setting a precedent for the anticipated forum show.

This development comes at a time when Q+A faces mounting criticism and declining ratings for its perceived lack of representation of the full spectrum of Australian opinions.

Interested individuals seeking to be a part of this exciting new venture should reach out to Sky News at [email protected].

Sky News is expected to confirm its 2024 line-up soon.

  1. So pleased there’ll be a Sky News answer to ABC’s Q& A. Looking forward to it, as well as Sharri, Credlin, Chris Kenny Tonight, Paul Murray & Outsiders. Also Corey Bernardo, Arita Panahi & The U.S Report. Love those shows!
Thank goodness for Sky News Australia! ❤️

  2. Sky News needs more Rowan Dean. He has been criminally underused in 2023. He is my fave on the network by far.

  3. Will this be another program that continually spews venom on the ABC and tells us about the great news breaking stories on Skynews?

  4. I notice that Steve Price aka the angry dwarf is joining the crew at Skynews with his hatred of the ABC.

  5. Another opportunity to bash the ABC, Skynews spends most of their content either abusing the ABC or using the ABC content for comment

  6. ABC is continually criticized for its lack of diversity? yet it is never lauded for providing diverse programs like Play school, the country hour, four corners, Bluey, and a radio network that provides opera, jazz, RN and local radio content throughout Australia to name a few. Maybe ABC is not at its best at the moment, but is still superior to the tripe dished up by Sky news

  7. Will this be another program where the presenters and the interviewees all talk over the top of each other? or maybe another program where Credlin can interview Murray , Murray can interview Credlin, Kenny can interview Bolt, Bolt can interview Kenny ( oh sorry, those two don’t seem to get on ) if they get bored maybe Steve Price can interview himself, I am sure there will be a smorgasbord of Skynew presenters interviewing Skynews presenters

    • Seriously! What ‘ideas’ of their ABC would SKY steal or want to? That’s a new one; in their dreams.

  8. No doubt , there will be lots of fanfare when the program is about to start, wonder how much fanfare when it performs like all the other substandard programs on Sky news and fails to content with audiences and dies a painful death.

  9. Wonder how much of the program will be devoted to criticizing the ABC, seems that is what Sky news specialize in
