Channel 7’s The Front Bar is set to end the year on a high note, with the return of special episodes featuring a comprehensive review of the year’s sports highlights.
Mick Molloy, Sam Pang, and Andy Maher will be the hosts guiding audiences through these exciting episodes.
The show, known for its unique blend of humor and sports commentary, is set to air at 8.30pm AEDT on Channel 7 and 7plus.
The first of these special episodes, titled The Front Bar: All Sports – Year in Review, will cover a wide range of sports events from 2023, including the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™. This episode promises to deliver insightful and humorous takes on the year’s most notable sports moments. It will air on Thursday, 23 November.
In the following week, the focus shifts to cricket with The Front Bar: Cricket Edition, airing on Thursday, 30 November. This episode is timed perfectly with the cricket season’s excitement, including the BBL | 13 and the upcoming Australia v Pakistan Test beginning on Thursday, 14 December.
The upcoming episodes will feature renowned guests, such as Australian spin bowler Nathan Lyon and celebrated jockey Damien Oliver. Adding international flavor to the mix, Pakistani cricket commentator and legendary fast bowler Wasim Akram is also set to appear.
Mick Molloy, expressing his enthusiasm for the shows, said, “Sport is my area of expertise, and the five couches I have gone through in the last year can attest to that.” He humorously added about his co-host,
“I’ll be doing the show with Andy Maher and Sam Pang. Let’s not forget, Sam hosted the Logies and credit to him, it’s still probably one of the most seamless uses of canned laughter in television we’ve seen in a long time.”
