It’s almost time! Final lineup for 2023 ARIA Awards Presents revealed.

The Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) today confirmed the final five events still to come in November as part of the huge line up of 2023 ARIA Awards Presents programming. 

Commencing last month at SXSW Sydney and continuing across Ausmusic Month, the 2023 ARIA Awards Presents program celebrates the best of Australian music, with the jewel in the crown being Australian music’s biggest night of the year: the 2023 ARIA Awards presented by YouTube, taking place Wednesday, 15 November at the Hordern Pavilion on Gadigal land.

2023 ARIA Awards Presents is a diverse lineup of events providing opportunities for aspiring artists and industry professionals to celebrate Australia’s best-established and up-and-coming talent, facilitating important conversations to shape the future of Australian music.

In addition to the Awards, November will see ARIA and YouTube present Hip Hop and RnB Amplified, shining a light on the nation’s most exciting emerging talent this Monday; MusicNSW present Sound Advice to help aspiring artists nail their streaming strategy; Australian-Japanese artist Joji deliver his Pandemonium national tour; the 4ESydney conference; Hot Jazz Picnic; and the Pass The Mic Showcase presented by ARIA and Bodega.

As part of the SXSW line-up, 2023 ARIA Awards Presents explored the Changing Face of Australian Hip Hop, examining how the African-American origins of the genre led to a diverse and evolving scene in Australia over 50 years. 

ARIA CEO, Annabelle Herd, was joined by K-SERA, A. Girl, Hau Latukefu and Jonathan Notley (Bliss n Eso) to discuss what’s next for the sound that continues to explode in Australia and dominate the global conversation.  

In partnership with Studios 301 and Neumann, 2023 ARIA Awards Presents held the annual Producers & Engineers BBQ in honour of the music industry’s producers, engineers and ARIA Award nominees. Guests heard a keynote from MC, Producer, DJ and absolute Icon POOKIE plus DJ performances by Nicole Tania, Krystel Diola and Dlywaves.

YouTube and 2023 ARIA Awards present Hip Hop and RnB Amplified: a celebration of the local Hip Hop and RnB community, bringing together some of the country’s most exciting emerging talent in an intimate and invite-only event. Guests will be treated to performances by Big Skeez, Chanel Loren, Kobie Dee and Pania plus DJ Sana.

More than 120,000 songs get uploaded to streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music every day. So how can you make sure yours is heard? 

Artist manager Elise Naismith (Lemon Tree Music, Budjerah & Kita Alexander), TikTok Music’s Content and Programming Lead Rochelle Flack and marketing specialist Mardi Caught (The Annex) will talk tips and tricks on setting up your digital releases for success. Head of Policy and Advocacy at ARIA/PPCA Julia Robinson will introduce the session with an overview of how the ARIA Charts reflect consumption. The panel will be followed by breakout groups for more in-depth discussion so you can get a better understanding on how to set yourself up for discovery.

The 4ESydney Conference, 23 to 24 November, will take place at The Leo Kelly Blacktown Arts Centre, and will feature a dynamic platform for insightful discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities, where industry insiders, thought leaders, and creative visionaries will converge to share their expertise and visions for the future of Hip Hop culture.
