Nine squeak home the primary channel and network wins.


Channel 9

After A Current Affair (520,000) Nine gave over their night to emergency services ob-doc drama: RBT (374,000), the season four premiere of Emergency (282,000), a repeat of Big Miracles (89,000), and closed out the evening with medical drama Chicago Med (31,000).

Nine first in both primary (18.6%) and network (27.5%) rankings.

Channel 7

Home & Away (428,000) opened the night as Seven’s best before an excellent season opener for the Women’s Big Bash League with WBBL: Sydney Sixers v Melbourne Stars (108,000 (78,000 Seven SYD/MEL; 29,000 7mate BNE/ADL/PER)). A repeat of Ambulance: Code Red (45,000) filled the late night slot.

Seven second in both primary (16.2%) and network (24%) rankings.


Channel 10

The Project (140,000 6:30pm; 240,000 7pm) slid though still better than it usually is for 10, largely due to the interest in The Amazing Race Australia: Celebrity Edition (355,000) and especially the season 18 finale of Gogglebox Australia (422,000). Repeats of The Cheap Seats (150,000) and Law & Order: SVU (58,000) closed out the rest of the evening.

10 third in both primary (13.9%) and network (20.7%) rankings.


ABC

7:30 (363,000) set the stage for the Boyer Lecture 2023: Professor Michelle Simmons (216,000) on the ABC. The rest of the night was given over to repeats of Grand Designs (232,000), Griff’s Great Australian Rail Trip (203,000), You Can’t Ask That (81,000), and Old People’s Home for Teenagers (29,000).

ABC fourth in both primary (11.6%) and network (17.4%) rankings.

SBS

The season four premiere of Every Family Has A Secret (197,000) opened with more great (under-appreciated) stories on SBS, before diving into Luke Nguyen’s India (88,000) and Crime (43,000).

SBS fifth in both primary (5.1%) and network (10.4%) rankings.


KEY DEMOS

16-39: Gogglebox Australia (72,000) led Seven News 6:30pm, The Amazing Race Australia: Celebrity Edition, and Nine News 6pm/6:30pm.

18-49: Gogglebox Australia (146,000) beat The Amazing Race Australia: Celebrity Edition, Seven News 6:30pm/6pm, and Nine News 6:30pm.

25-54: Gogglebox Australia (178,000) delivers the triple-demo win to 10, followed by Seven News 6:30pm/6pm, The Amazing Race Australia: Celebrity Edition, and Nine News 6pm.


MULTI-CHANNELS

Would I Lie To You? – EV & Bull – rpt (86,000) on ABC Kids/TV Plus and 10 Bold respectively tie to lead the multi-channel race.

No changes to the previous week’s primetime line-up after the Total TV figures were added: The Block (Nine) lifted 40% to 1,151,000; The Amazing Race Australia: Celebrity Edition (10) lifted 59% to 734,000; and Highway Patrol double repeat (Seven) lifted 5%/4% to 478,000/444,000.

The BVOD best were The Block (247,000), Home and Away (138,000), and The Amazing Race Australia: Celebrity Edition (119,000).
