Sky News Australia is set to premiere a new documentary, What Really Happened in Wuhan: The Next Chapter, on Tuesday 24 October at 8pm AEDT.
The documentary, spearheaded by journalist and anchor, Sharri Markson, continues her investigation into the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This sequel follows Markson’s earlier work, which included her best-selling book and 2021 documentary titled What Really Happened in Wuhan.
Her investigative pieces have played a significant role in shedding light on new perspectives regarding the pandemic’s origin, particularly concerning claims that the virus might have been genetically engineered in a lab in Wuhan, China.
In a statement, Markson said,
“It was a global pandemic that tragically resulted in almost seven million deaths, and continues to affect our daily lives, yet years later government officials would prefer to turn a blind eye than confront the most likely explanation for how the pandemic started.”
She further expressed her commitment, adding,
“We mustn’t roll over. This documentary is about exposing the facts and revealing the uncomfortable truths.”
Throughout her research, Markson has interviewed various key figures, including scientists, whistleblowers, and high-ranking intelligence and government officials, to delve deeper into the matter. It’s worth noting that in her 2021 documentary, she notably secured an exclusive sit-down interview with former U.S.
President Donald Trump, marking the first for Australian broadcast media since his 2016 election.
This new chapter promises to bring to the fore more evidence suggesting attempts by certain authorities and governments to downplay or dismiss the lab-origin theory in favour of natural origins.
