In a major coup for AFL fans, recently retired West Coast Eagles legend Nic Naitanui will join Seven’s Grand Final coverage as part of the Grand Final Brunch panel, hosted by Rebecca Maddern from 7NEWS Melbourne. Meanwhile, reigning premiership captain Joel Selwood will be part of the 7AFL team for post-match analysis, a year after leading his team to Grand Final glory.

Adding international flavor to the festivities, NBA legend and member of the iconic 1990s Chicago Bulls team, Scottie Pippen, will join Luke Darcy and a panel of 7AFL’s finest for the Grand Final Countdown.

With a collective tally of 30 AFL and AFLW Premierships among them, football’s #1 commentary team will present a formidable lineup for the Grand Final. This team includes the likes of Brian Taylor, James Brayshaw, Hamish McLachlan, Daisy Pearce, Luke Hodge, Matthew Richardson, Abbey Holmes, Patrick Dangerfield, Leigh Matthews, Luke Darcy, Shaun Burgoyne, Jude Bolton, Dale Thomas, Nathan Jones, Jobe Watson, Chris Johnson, Rebecca Maddern, Joel Selwood, Campbell Brown, and Georgie Parker. 7NEWS reporters Tom Browne and Mitch Cleary will keep viewers updated with breaking news throughout the day.

The Grand Final coverage kicks off at 7.00 am AEST on Channel 7, 7mate, and 7plus with the Weekend Sunrise AFL Grand Final Day Special. This extensive coverage will continue non-stop until the Grand Final post-match presentations and celebrations conclude at approximately 7.00 pm AEST.

Before the first bounce, Channel 7 will treat fans to the biggest-ever AFL Pre-Game Entertainment show, headlined by the legendary American rock band KISS. This high-energy production rivals international sporting events like the NFL Super Bowl Half Time Show and Olympic Opening Ceremonies, ensuring viewers won’t want to miss a single moment. AFL expert commentator Matthew Richardson will also have an exclusive interview with KISS frontmen Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley.

To ensure fans don’t miss any action, the Grand Final can be streamed live in full 1080p HD on any device via 7plus. It’s recommended that viewers download the app in advance to ensure uninterrupted viewing.

  1. Brian Taylor shouldn’t be allowed to commentate this grand final just like in 2018 he’ll be far too bias to Collingwood it should be Hamish McLachlan and James Bradshaw or Luke Darcy doing the commentating!!

  2. Surely these not your best commentators for Grand Final
Need whole new panel 2024. Sad when you watch Grand Final with TV on Mute
