It was only ever going to be thus.

Channel 9

Nine take the night easily with the lowest-rating match of the 2023 series:
State of Origin: Game 3 Pre-match (693,000);
State of Origin: Game 3 (1,476,000);
and State of Origin: Game 3 Post-match (545,000).
Wimbledon: Day 10 (115,000) rounded out the sportsball programming.

Nine first in both primary (36.3%) and network (42.6%) rankings.

Channel 7

Home & Away (470,000) is Seven’s best by a long way, followed by Animals Abroad with Dr Harry (253,000) which slides on last week’s premiere though had stiff competition. The Front Bar (250,000) continues to do strong in MEL (152,000) and not to well elsewhere, before Ambulance: Code Red (165,000) and a repeat of Death Row: Countdown to Execution (53,000) close out the night.

Seven second in both primary (14.5%) and network (21.5%) rankings.

ABC

7:30 (469,000) and Utopia (498,000) lead the rest of the night behind the origin, ably so for the ABC.
Gruen (415,000) and Gold Diggers (159,000), along with Queen of Oz (107,000), deliver more comedy into the later evening. Adam Hills: The Last Leg (97,000) holds it together before a repeat of The School That Tried To End Racism (DNR) closes the evening.

ABC third in both primary (10.3%) and network (14.6%) rankings.

Channel 10

10 have a solid night that led with The Project (210,000 6:30pm; 339,000 7pm) and built into MasterChef Australia (455,000). The following two programs, however – Riptide (155,000) and So Help Me Todd (73,000) – didn’t offer heaps to the audience.

10 fourth in both primary (8.7%) and network (14.2%) rankings.

SBS fifth in both primary (4%) and network (7.1%) rankings.
