As the enthusiasm surrounding the 2023 NRL Telstra Women’s Premiership season mounts, Fox League introduces a groundbreaking initiative to enhance the visibility of women’s rugby.
A new weekly show, ‘NRLW on Fox’, is set to debut, promising a detailed breakdown of the season’s most critical moments.
This 30-minute program, steered by Lara Pitt, is set to air every Thursday night, granting fans unparalleled access to their favourite NRLW players and their inspiring journeys. Kicking off on 20 July, the debut episode will feature superstar players Tiana Penitani and Jessica Sergis, who are also ambassadors of Fox Sports.
In a first for the sport, every game of the upcoming season, including the finals and grand final, will be broadcast live and ad-free on Fox League, a service available on both Foxtel and Kayo Sports.
The first match is slated for Saturday, 22 July, pitting the Titans against the Cowboys, newcomers to the competition, in an exciting Queensland derby. Reigning champions Newcastle will later clash with St George Illawarra.
This year’s NRLW season introduces an innovative format of nine rounds with doubleheaders each week, promising a unique experience for fans. The season will culminate in the 2023 NRL Telstra Women’s Premiership Grand Final on 1 October, set to precede the men’s decider.
