In a celebration of Mother’s Day and the simple joys of home life, Better Homes and Gardens is set to deliver a jam-packed episode, full of design inspiration, mouthwatering recipes, and heartwarming stories.

Situated near the stunning Cottesloe beach in Perth, Charlie Albone, the gardening guru, will introduce viewers to two compact yet creatively designed gardens. These gardens, big on design but small on space, demonstrate how strategic planting and design can transform your garden into a tranquil oasis.

Johanna Griggs will be stepping into the world of pottery, exploring Mud Australia’s renowned business. She’ll be chatting with owner Shelley Simpson, learning about their dedication to sustainability, recycling, and inclusivity, as well as their successful journey from a backyard pottery wheel to a factory crafting nearly 5000 exquisite pieces weekly.

Do-it-yourself enthusiasts, especially dog lovers, will be thrilled with Adam Dovile’s segment. He’ll demonstrate how to install a doggy door using readily available products, providing a simple solution for our four-legged family members who are always keen for a bit of outdoor time.

In the kitchen, Karen Martini will showcase the art of making French Friands, popular cakes found in numerous bakeries and cafés. Her recipe, which requires no machinery, will surely inspire home bakers to whip up a batch.

Fast Ed Halmagyi will be preparing for a Mother’s Day picnic with two unique recipes. The first is a vibrant Pearl Couscous Spoon Salad, topped with Pesto Cream and Pecans, and the second is a tantalising Orange & Vanilla Not-Quite Ice Cream. This ingenious concoction, served in a white chocolate-dipped cone, promises to be a hit on a warm day.

Melissa King will guide viewers through the Blackwood Ridge Gardens in the Macedon Ranges-Daylesford region of Victoria. Inspired by the garden’s autumnal beauty, she will craft a rustic-style crate of flowers, a perfect Mother’s Day gift.

Juliet Love will engage young viewers with a fun craft project – a shaving cream-decorated card for Mother’s Day. She will also treat a deserving single mum to a surprise bedroom makeover, turning it into a serene sanctuary and home office.

Finally, Dr. Harry Cooper will meet Salad, an unusual duck who dislikes swimming. As he navigates the mystery of Salad’s behaviour, viewers will gain valuable insights into the lives of farm animals.
