The UFC makes the trip back to London on Sunday March 20 for UFC Fight Night: Volkov vs Aspinall with a massive fight card that includes an explosive Heavyweight main event, New Zealand’s Dan Hooker and UFC cult hero Paddy ‘The Baddy’ in action.
UFC Fight Night: Volkov vs Aspinall Main Card begins at 7am AEDT live on ESPN.
Sunday’s event is headlined by two hungry heavyweight contenders looking to begin their climb towards the top of the division, as #6 ranked Alexander Volkov will tackle #11 local hope Tom Aspinall.
Aspinall will enjoy the home field advantage on Sunday, as the British fighter looks to extend his winning streak to eight fights and continue his unbeaten run since joining the UFC.
Volkov is a former Bellator Heavyweight champion and is coming off a strong win over Marcin Tybura back in October at UFC 267.
New Zealand’s Dan Hooker will feature in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night: Volkov vs Aspinall Main Card as he makes the move to the Featherweight division.
Hooker has dropped down to challenge #7 Featherweight Arnold Allen as the New Zealand fighter begins a UFC championship hunt in the lower weight class.
Conflicting things to some degree is the fact that Hooker’s friend and training partner, Alexander Volkanovski currently reigns in the UFC Featherweight division.
First things first will be victory in the Octagon at UFC Fight Night: Volkov vs Aspinall, but Hooker’s return to Featherweight will be no easy task, with his opponent Allen enjoying a 10 fight-winning run, with his last career defeat coming in 2014.
Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett also makes a highly anticipated return to the Octagon on the main card, where he tackles Kazula Vargas.
Pimblett has quickly become a cult hero with UFC fans and with a sold out crowd of his fellow compatriots cheering him on, Paddy ‘The Baddy’ should prove hard to stop.
