Fans down under are in for a massive treat for UFC’s second PPV of the year.
Headlining the event will be an explosive Middleweight title rematch between current champ and New Zealand’s Israel Adesanya against Australia’s Robert Whittaker.
The action doesn’t stop there with another Australian Tai ‘Bam Bam’ Tuivasa taking on local Texan Derrick Lewis in a huge Heavyweight bout for the Co-main event.
UFC will deliver the best that its Middleweight division has to offer with Adesanya and Whittaker meeting for a second time. Adesanya “The Last Stylebender” enters his title defence with a 10-0 record defeating the likes of Marvin Vettori, Paulo Costa, Yoel Romero, Kelvin Gastelum, Derek Brunson and Anderson Silva and of course the man he rolled over the win the UFC Middleweight crown.

Whittaker “The Reaper” appeared poised to build himself as UFC’s second greatest Middleweight champion behind the legendary Silva, until Adesanya delivered him a knockout blow in front of his own home crowd in at UFC 243 in Melbourne in 2019.
Since then, the former champion has been defending his No.1 contender position with consecutive wins over Gastelum, Jared Cannonier and Darren Till.
This marquee showdown has a lot on the line for both fighters. For Adesanya a chance to further cement his place as this generation’s greatest Middleweight fighter, and for Whittaker a moment to reclaim the belt from the man who stripped him of it.
In the co-main event, fellow Aussie Tai Tuivasa has been on a roll since returning to action in October 2020 with four straight wins, all by knockout, however he will take on his toughest test of his UFC career when he steps into the Octagon against Derrick Lewis who holds the all-time record for the most knockouts in UFC history.
Also on the card a Middleweight showdown between top-ranked contenders Derek Brunsonand Jared Cannonier, which could earn the winner a crack at the title.
