One-hour special features the much-anticipated wedding of Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell at Australia Zoo
Australia’s favourite wildlife warrior family grew on 25 March when Bindi Irwin married Chandler Powell at Australia Zoo. The iconic family and Animal Planet invite the world to share in the joy of this momentous occasion in Crikey! It’s the Irwins: Bindi’s Wedding. The one-hour special airs this weekend in the US and Australian viewers will be able to stream or watch it Saturday 18 July at 6:30pm on Animal Planet.
With the help of Terri and Robert Irwin, the Australia Zoo family and some very special animals, Bindi and Chandler were married at Australia Zoo on Wednesday 25 March in a fast-tracked ceremony. Just weeks before their wedding day, planned for 4 April, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the couple to make difficult decisions and drastic changes to the wedding of their dreams, opting for a beautiful private ceremony with only family in attendance.
Crikey! It’s the Irwins: Bindi’s Wedding is an exclusive behind the scenes look at Bindi and Chandler’s big day, and the preparations leading up to the happiest day of their lives, despite all the challenges. It features special moments between the couple and their family including Robert walking Bindi down the aisle, Bindi lighting a candle to honor her father, Steve Irwin, during the ceremony, and in true Irwin fashion, special appearances by their animal family including koalas, macaws and snakes.
