Featuring an exceptional cast including Anthony HopkinsEvan Rachel Wood, Jeffrey Wright, James Marsden, Thandie Newton and Ed Harris, the provocative Emmy-nominated dark odyssey explores the dawn of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin.

Set in the not-too-distant future, Westworld is a futuristic adventure park modelled after America’s Wild West. For over 30 years, guests have paid exorbitant amounts to be immersed in the Westworld universe, where every detail and scenario – including those involving the android ‘hosts’ that are virtually indistinguishable from humans – have been planned, scripted and executed by a team of brilliant scientists and programmers working in close proximity to the park. However, a group of the android hosts soon begin to deviate from their programmers’ carefully planned scripts, in a disturbing pattern of aberrant behaviour.

Westworld was inspired by the 1973 motion picture of the same name, written and directed by Michael Crichton (Jurassic Park). Season one of the HBO series received 22 Emmy Award nominations.

Following its live broadcast on Foxtel’s showcase channel, Westworld will be available to watch from Foxtel’s on demand library, or streamed on demand on Foxtel’s streaming service, Foxtel Now.

Foxtel’s showcase has long been Australia’s ‘Home of HBO’ featuring must-see programming including Game of Thrones, Westworld, The Deuce, DivorceVeep, Ballers and Big Little Lies, along with new and upcoming arrivals Succession, Here and Now and Barry, set to air this year. showcase is also the exclusive home to Foxtel’s own award-winning original dramas, which continue to break new ground and win local and international praise.
