The debate will be held this Friday (May 13) at ‘Windsor RSL’ in South Windsor, NSW and aired on SKY NEWS LIVE, channel 601 and live streamed online at www.dailytelegraph.com.au.

SKY NEWS Political Editor David Speers who will moderate the forum said: “This will be a great opportunity to see who’s got the best pitch, who’s hungriest and how hard they go. The format has proven to be a huge success in testing how the leaders perform without a script and answering questions from real voters, who are often interested in very different issues to those that dominate the daily campaigning.  In a tight contest, this People’s Forum will shift the momentum of the campaign one way or another.”

The Daily Telegraph editor Christopher Dore said:

“Western Sydney is The Daily Telegraph heartland and at the centre of where this election will be decided, and so to have both leaders front up before real voters in the first week to sell their credentials and refine their messages is a key moment in setting up the tone of this fascinating election.”

From 6pm SKY NEWS anchor Laura Jayes will preview the forum. The face to face begins at 7.00pm with questions from 100 undecided voters chosen by Galaxy Research.

After the forum Laura will be joined by David Speers to dissect and discuss the pivotal moments of the encounter.

From 9pm Paul Murray LIVE will continue his on the road coverage as part of a weekly programming initiative talking to every day Australians about their concerns and the issues impacting the future of their communities in the lead up to the federal election.
