Australia will look to make history this Sunday when they take on defending champions, New Zealand, in the first ever trans-Tasman Rugby World Cup Final.
The nation will be right behind Michael Cheika’s men as they look to defy the odds and claim a record third World Cup, with the Nine Network and Fox Sports delivering fans all the action.
Free to Air coverage will commence on Nine and GEM in HD at 2:15 AEDT. A replay of the game will be broadcast at 12pm AEDT on GEM.
Fox Sports will showcase the decider LIVE in HD with no ad-breaks during play, and the only Australian commentary team on ground in London. commencing from 2.00am EDT with a massive hour-long breakdown of the action LIVE from Twickenham.
Host Nick McArdle will be joined by 1999 World Cup winning Wallabies John Eales, George Gregan and Phil Kearns for the pre-game show.
Then at 3.00am EDT our men in gold take to the field for their first Rugby World Cup Final since 2003 with the voice of rugby, Greg Clark, joined by 1999 World Cup Wallabies’ members Tim Horan and Rod Kafer to call the action.
Fox Sports will also showcase the Bronze Medal play-off between the Springboks and Pumas on Saturday (31 October) from 6.15am EDT. A pre-game show spearheaded by McArdle, Eales and Horan will launch the action before Clark, Kearns and Kafer take over to call the match from 7.00am EDT.
Fans can warm up to the action from Friday at 6.30pm when Fox Sports’ Sean Maloney is joined by former Wallabies Greg Martin and Stephen Hoiles, alongside New Zealand commentator Scotty Stevenson on ‘Cup Runneth Over’.
Then at 7.30pm, a huge edition of ‘Rugby HQ’ features interviews with Stephen Moore, Israel Folau, Bernard Foley, David Pocock and Drew Mitchell, along with legends of the game Jonah Lomu, Brad Thorn and Sir Clive Woodward.
