Big Brother Australia has delivered another eviction, with Pheobe becoming the third housemate to leave the 2026 series after a week of nominations and a red button twist.

The latest departure follows Harmon and Pam, with Pheobe’s close friendship with Ebony coming under strain after she was left up for eviction, while a last-minute button push saw Kyrah spared from a second departure.

It was the great philosophers, The Sugababes, who famously said: “You’d better push the button“, and this week our housemates have lived by that iconic creed.

Earlier in the week, Big Brother installed a big red button in the house and promised that every push would result in something for the house – be it a reward, or a bit of chaos – but they wouldn’t know what would happen until it was pressed.

And tonight, Big Brother saved one of the most dramatic button twists for last!

With six housemates up for eviction, host Mel Tracina revealed live that Pheobe had received the least amount of save votes and would be leaving the house.

Though she had an emotional start to her Big Brother journey, admitting that she struggled to feel like she fit in with the larger group, Pheobe slowly began to find her place.

Even when she was nominated, Pheobe thought her very close friendship with head housemate Ebony could come in handy. But Ebony chose to save Matthew instead, leaving Pheobe on the chopping block, and saving some choice words for Ebony as she left the house.

After her eviction, Pheobe told Mel Tracina she was devastated.

“I just wanted to have so much fun, and I feel like the one friend I made in the house kind of betrayed me.”

“Someone that you trust and care for in that situation when you would pick them, it’s really hurtful,” Pheobe continued.

“I just hope she learns how to take care of people that care for her.”

Ups and downs were part of Pheobe’s time in the house, when Big Brother threw her an early surprise party, she was on top of the world!

And when he surprised the house even more with a pass the parcel eviction of Pam… well, emotions were clearly running high. But Pheobe admitted it was still one of the best birthday parties she had!

But the remaining five nominated housemates weren’t out of the woods just yet. As Big Brother revealed that tonight would be a double elimination unless the housemates pressed the button one final time, saving that person from eviction.

When Mel revealed the second housemate who could be going home was Kyrah, Marshy was already off the couch ready to push the button eviction before it had even lit up, saving Kyrah for another week!

While our housemates appear to be settling into their new little life, Big Brother knows just how to shake things up. Did somebody say Intruder?
