Screenworks has named former Queer Screen Festival Director Lisa Rose as its next Chief Executive Officer, with the experienced screen executive commencing in the role on 1 July.
She joins the national industry body following a tenure at Queer Screen, where she led organisational growth, industry programs and strategic partnerships.
Rose succeeds Lisa O’Meara, who confirmed earlier this year she would step down after three years as Screenworks CEO.

Lisa Rose joins Screenworks bringing extensive experience in organisational leadership, strategic planning and stakeholder engagement across the screen and cultural sectors, having most recently served as Festival Director at Queer Screen.
During her tenure she led significant organisational growth, developed industry programs and partnerships, and built strong relationships across government, funding bodies and the broader screen sector.

She will lead Screenworks as they head towards their flagship Regional to Global Screen Forum this September in Lennox Head NSW, and as the organisation continues to deliver innovative and relevant development programs – fostering a thriving and diverse regional screen sector.
