The WIN Network has confirmed a major change to its weather team, farewelling long-serving presenter Sarah Cawte and welcoming journalist and broadcaster Bo Jeong into the role.
The network says Sarah Cawte is wrapping up almost three years on-air, with WIN’s National Director of News, Stella Lauri, acknowledging her contribution to regional audiences.
“Sarah is returning to Queensland to be closer to her family, and we wish her the very best.
She has delivered exceptional weather coverage to WIN News audiences, earning the trust of communities right across our regions.
Rural and regional Australians are the backbone of this country, and ensuring they have timely, accurate information is vital.
Sarah has played an important role in that mission,”
said Stella Lauri.
Sarah’s final day will be Friday 12 December.
Stepping into the role is Bo Jeong, who begins on Monday 5 January. According to the network, Bo Jeong brings experience from radio and WIN News Canberra, where she covered local stories and seasonal weather events affecting communities across the region.
The network highlights Bo’s work engaging with everyday Australians whose experiences shape coverage across environment, politics, health, education, business, culture and social issues. She most recently fronted the Northern NSW, New England North West and Gold Coast bulletins for the WIN and 10 networks, delivering daily updates during major weather events including Tropical Cyclone Alfred, Mid North Coast flooding and historic Northern Tablelands snowfall.

Outside the newsroom, Bo Jeong is noted for her background as a cellist, having performed with The Wiggles and Middle Kids, and for her advisory contributions to organisations including the U.S. Embassy, Echo, The Salvation Army and the Ethnic Business Awards.
“We are incredibly proud to welcome Bo to the team,” said Stella Lauri.
“Well known to many of our WIN News viewers across the country, Bo is trusted for her warmth and authenticity.
With her extensive experience covering some of Australia’s most significant weather events, we know she is the right person to deliver vital, up-to-the-minute information to our regional communities.”
Best of luck to Sarah on her future endeavors, and congrats to Bo on her new role. She has big shoes to fill.
