Jim Jefferies fronts a brand-new comedy showcase tonight as Jim Jefferies and Friends makes its debut on Channel 7 and 7plus.

The line-up includes Dave Hughes, Jimeoin, Arj Barker, Tommy Little, Nikki Osborne, Mel Buttle and Felicity Ward, with Jefferies stepping in as master of ceremonies.

According to Seven, the special is billed as a strictly adults-only affair, where no subject is off limits. Jefferies and his fellow comics delve into themes ranging from diversity politics to tips for the bedroom, alongside more unexpected riffs such as giving John Cleese COVID and a tongue-in-cheek nod to a national prank many Australians claim to be in on.

The broadcast also offers viewers a different perspective on Jefferies, better known to TV audiences as a game show host, placing him back in his natural element on stage.

Jim Jefferies and Friends premieres 8.30pm tonight, Thursday 2 October, on Seven and 7plus.
