Channel 7 is ready to knock down walls again, opening casting for a brand-new prime-time renovation series.

The show will see everyday Aussies take on the challenge of transforming two rundown suburban homes, all for the chance to win a life-changing cash prize.

According to the casting notice shared online by producer Endemol Shine Australia on Thursday, the show promises to be “bigger, bolder, and more life changing than any other reno show.” (The Block called — they’d like a fact check here.)

The notice calls for “dynamic duos who are either renovators, tradies, or just ready to take on the ultimate challenge,” urging applicants: “Don’t just watch the dream… live it!

The network’s move marks a return to the renovation space after a year off in 2025. Its most recent attempt, Dream Home, aired in 2024 hosted by Dr Chris Brown, but was quietly shelved amid reports of high production costs.

Before that, Seven unsuccessfully tried to rework its long-running format House Rules, which ended in 2020 after eight seasons. A planned spin-off called Apartment Rules, announced at Seven’s 2022 upfronts, never surfaced.

While the title and further details for the new series remain under wraps for now, we can expect to hear big announcements on this new project at Seven’s 2025 upfronts later in the year.
