AFL legend and TV host Shane Crawford is officially joining Melissa Doyle as co-host for the revamped The House of Wellness, set to hit primetime this April.

Following the news last year that Doyle would be leading the primetime version of the health and lifestyle series, Crawford’s addition brings a fresh but familiar face to the overhauled show.

This marks a growing trend of ad-funded content making its way into primetime, with The House of Wellness transitioning from a weekend lifestyle series to a revamped primetime slot to presumably follow the long-running Better Homes & Gardens on Friday evenings.

Another lifestyle series set to return to our screens on 7 this year is Healthy, Wealthy & Wise after a long absence. The show will reportedly be hosted by Chrissie Swan, bringing a fresh take on the beloved format.

Many will recognise Melissa Doyle from her years as co-host of Sunrise and more recently hosting This Is Your Life also for Channel 7, while Shane Crawford is well-known for his footy career and regular Channel 9 appearances, and was also on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!.

Fans of the show (or anyone who likes to possibly score some cool prizes!) can take part in the action with the chance to be part of the live studio audience, see below for details.

Filming begins March 20 and runs through May 15 at NEP studios in Melbourne, where you can see the magic of television unfold.

House of Wellness is coming to Friday nights on Channel 7 and 7plus this April.
