The Emirates FA Cup third round gets underway with all matches exclusive to Paramount+, including some epic match ups as Premier League powerhouses Arsenal and Liverpool face off, Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur taking on Burnley, and is an upset on the cards when Manchester United tackle Wigan Athletic?

The AFC Asian Cup gets underway with every match of the tournament available exclusively on Paramount+. The Subway Socceroos commence their AFC Asian Cup campaign on Saturday 13 January live from 10.00pm AEDT as they take on India in their opening group match.

Locally, the Isuzu UTE A-League Men and Liberty A-League Women’s is underway all through January – highlighted by Unite Round on Friday 12 January – Sunday 14 January as all teams play in Sydney, and all matches are on Paramount+

When the geriatric ward in a small Yorkshire hospital is threatened with closure, it fights back by galvanising the local community. The hospital invites a news crew to film the preparations for a concert honouring its most distinguished nurse.

Starring Jennifer Saunders, Judi Dench, Russell Tovey and David Bradley, Allelujah is a British drama film directed by Richard Eyre and written by Heidi Thomas. It is based on Alan Bennett’s play of the same name.

The Changemakers

MONDAY, 1 JANUARY

The Changemakers, will feature the stories of eight everyday people fighting for a better world. Each episode of the documentary series will feature a different compelling storyline of people facing challenges in specific locations across the globe, from Black mothers in the United States fighting the life-threatening effects of systemic racism, to Indigenous people in Ecuador strategising to protect their land from deforestation.

Grassroots activists will work to bring global attention to their specific campaigns, with the help of a panel of “super-activists”, who each have extensive experience in advocating for change. The series has been produced for Paramount as part of Content for Change, the company’s global initiative that aims to counteract racism, bias, stereotypes, and hate on and off-screen through three pillars, one of which is focused on systemically transforming the creative supply chain.

Geordie Shore – Season 24

The Gilded Age – Season Two

Season two of The Gilded Age begins on Easter morning 1883, with the news that Bertha Russell’s bid for a box at the Academy of Music has been rejected. Through the eight episodes of the season, we watch as Bertha challenges Mrs. Astor and the old system and works to not only gain a foothold in Society, but to potentially take a leading role in it. George Russell takes on his own battle with a growing union at his steel plant in Pittsburgh. In the Brook House, Marian continues her journey to find her way in the world secretly teaching at a girls school, while much to everyone’s surprise, Ada begins a new courtship. Of course, Agnes approves of none of it. In Brooklyn, the Scott family begins to heal from a shocking discovery, and Peggy taps into her activist spirit through her work with T. Thomas Fortune at the NY Globe.
