Welcome to the start of the 2023/2024 Summer non-ratings/who-gives-a-shit period.
Channel 9
60 Minutes (485,000) led Nine’s night with a win in the battle of the public affairs programming. David Attenborough’s Planet Earth III (336,000) maintained a reasonable portion of the audience as it followed, though not so for The Body in the Bag (183,000) or Text Me When You Get Home (99,000).
Nine first in both primary (19.8%) and network (29.9%) rankings.
Channel 7
Seven deliver their first in the summer series of 7News Spotlight (388,000), followed by repeats of Border Security (331,000) and MOVIE: The Fugitive (180,000), and another ep of Autopsy USA (68,000) to end the evening.
Seven second in both primary (18.8%) and network (27.5%) rankings.
ABC
A repeat of Joanna Lumley’s Britain (419,000) led the ABC’s night before the season finale of Annika (456,000) and another ep of Shetland (317,000). Repeats of We Hunt Together (50,000) and Troppo (DNR) closed out the late evening.
ABC third in both primary (14.9%) and network (19.7%) rankings.
Channel 10
The Sunday Project (150,000 6:30pm; 216,000 7pm) saw a significant drop week-on-week for the second half hour ahead of the unfortunate season two premiere of The Bachelors Australia (224,000), down 27% on the same format premiere earlier this year. New FBI (143,000) and a repeat of NCIS: Hawaii (81,000) offered solid fan service afterwards.
10 fourth in both primary (8.7%) and network (14.5%) rankings.
SBS
The history rolls on SBS, that started with Fortress Britain with Alice Roberts (106,000) and then delivered Histories Greatest Mysteries (110,000) with a repeat of Spain’s Secret Conquest (59,000) filling out the night.
SBS fifth in both primary (4.6%) and network (8.4%) rankings.
